Spectrum Lens: Chroma Blue Review

I've been having the worst luck when it came to blue contact lenses because the last two pairs I had both went kaput due to unknown reasons. I'm almost ready to give up on blue lenses, but I guess this one pair changed my point of view.

I was online shopping for the perfect blue pair for my peepers. I wanted something that focuses on the color and not the enlargement, and it turned out that Serendipity Btq was selling really affordable contact lenses and I went in for it.

There were a lot of good pairs up for sale, and I'm a little miffed that the original pair I wanted to get was already sold. The owner of the shop suggested a list of blue pairs that were still available, and I don't know why I chose Chroma Blue. Maybe it's because of the cool-sounding name?

Anyways, I paid Php250 ($5.73) for this pair. I received two vials with the lens, a lens case, and a manual.

It was definitely lighter, compared to the reference photo. The design sort of reminded me of diamonds and gems. The color is a nice sky blue with streaks of black with a thin limbal ring.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the inner circle of the lens has little light brown streaks to make the color look more natural.

As for the enlargement power of this pair, there's really not much of a difference. It's 14.2mm, so it's close to my original iris size. It opens up my eyes a little, but I guess this pair focuses on bringing the color and pop to my eyes. In my case, it's not such a bad thing because I prefer color over enlargement.

As you can see, this pair is really noticeable on my dark eyes. In all kinds of lighting, the sky-blue color really pops and I love how they make it look like I have natural blue eyes. (I've always wanted blue eyes XD)

This pair is really comfortable. I wore them through a 6-hour road trip and never did I feel the slightest discomfort. You could actually forget that you're wearing them.

Somehow, this pair reminds me of Lightning Farron's eyes from Final Fantasy.

And here's the pair in action.

Overall:

Comfort: 5/5
Design: 5/5
Enlargement: 2/5

I want to thank Serendipity Btq and the lovely owner for this pair :) I didn't have any difficulty in transacting with them, their service is fast and smooth and I do recommend that you check the shop out for contact lenses, wigs, and other services they offer.
I hope you enjoyed this review, I'll see you in the next blog post. ^_^
