Lost In Wonderland: Fantasy Quest 4 VIP Day

Fantasy Quest at last! It's been a good two years ever since Fantasy Quest 3, and I've missed this magical event so much. This year, I decided to push for the VIP ticket to enjoy the full experience with my brother.


I decided to cosplay on VIP day this time, and it burned holes in my pocket but I think it was worth it. For the VIP day, I decided to go as Alice from Heart Kuni no Alice, being the Alice in Wonderland fan girl that I am.

I left the house late that morning and I thought I was going to be late for the event, but the event started late anyways so I had time to wander and shoot.

It was my first time to enter the tree house in Fernwood Gardens, and even though it was stuffy and unstable, it was pretty fun to sit down with a couple of huge teddy bears. It was pretty scary that tree house sort of shifts every time there is a move in weight, and there was only a certain weight limit that the tree house could carry, but it was fun to shoot in there nonetheless.

After a while, we settled down in the main activity area. We were lucky enough to be seated right behind the array of attending guests from different countries, which left me at awe while I admired their awesome cosplays.

I also noticed that there were a lot of Touken Ranbu cosplayers, and therefore dubbed the first day as Touken Ranbu-con.

Not long after, they called Jun-san and Neru-san from Japan to join us!

We had a question and answer session with Jun-san and Neru-san, where we were given the chance to ask questions (except personal ones, of course). I didn't ask anything because I was too shy, I might melt at the front right then and there. (〃∇〃)

It was also so cute because everyone was teasing Vio and pushing her to ask a question. She was fan girl-ing so hard, it was cute!~

Shortly after the Q&A, the meet and greet session started. We could buy photobooks and post card sets for Jun-san and Neru-san to sign, and I badly wanted to because I really love their Free! cosplay. I bought their Rin x Sousuke photobook and waited in line for them to sign it.

I could feel my heart beat in anticipation as I waited in line. When they called me in, my heart went on overdrive. ゞ◎Д◎ヾ

Both of them were really nice and told me that I looked cute in my Alice cosplay as they signed the book. I asked them to write 'For Aki' on the book and a cute little conversation happened.

Aki: Can you please write 'for Aki'?

Jun: Aki? A-K-I?

Neru: Is there any other way to spell that? (ﾟｰﾟ;

Jun: Sorry, sorry <(￣∇￣)

After we took an Instax shot, I asked them if we could take a selfie but alas, my arm was too short. Jun-san asked Neru-san to take the shot, since Neru-san was taller.

After the meet and greet, some of the cosplayers played games while I was back in shooting mode. 

We were soon called in by the staff for a group photo with everyone, and I was too shy to jump into the group because I hardly knew anyone there, but thanks to Christian and a pretty Nozomi cosplayer for urging me! (Nozomi-chan, thank you! I didn't get to ask your name, sorry ; A ;)

Everyone had an extreme fan girl moment when Neru-san pulled Jun-san to sit on her lap before the photo frenzy began. Sadly I didn't take a photo of that moment because I was too distracted. //lol

Luckily, I managed to sneak in a couple of selfies with Viospace and Reiko before they left! I wanted a photo with Vic too, but I couldn't find her anymore.

After the guests had retreated to rest and prepare for the following day, my brother and I decided to claim our food. Thanks, Kuya Roms, for helping us out!

VIP day was so much fun! It was nice to see everyone cosplay and hang out together like a big family. Props to the FQ team for making VIP day a very successful and enjoyable event.
